Commercial Certificate:

FAA Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must pass a 2nd Class Flight Physical.
  • Must have logged a minimum of 250 hours with not more than 50 hours in a suitable ground trainer.
  • Must have at least 10 hours in a Complex aircraft.

NOTE: Under no circumstances can the instrument lesson plans in Phase III above be considered adequate or sufficient to meet the requirements for the FAA Instrument Rating. All the instrument lesson plans in Phase III are Commercial maneuvers only, and contain knowledge that any well trained Commercial Pilot should already know BEFORE he/she begins to work on the Instrument Rating. If the Commercial student is already Instrument rated then he/she will have no difficulty with the lessons in Phase III.
